Lenovo CEO Declares AI Inevitable During CES 2026 Keynote

Las Vegas, USA – Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing sent a clear message to AI skeptics at CES 2026, stating simply yet powerfully, “Nobody can avoid it.” His statement underscored the growing presence of artificial intelligence as an unavoidable part of the technology landscape that everyone will face.

The remark came during Lenovo’s keynote at The Sphere, where the company showcased Qira, a personal AI assistant designed to work seamlessly across Lenovo PCs and Motorola smartphones. Lenovo also introduced a series of new AI-focused products, illustrating how intelligent technology is poised to integrate into everyday life in the near future.

At this year’s CES, AI was positioned as a central driver across the technology industry. From wearable devices acting as extensions of the user to smart TVs, laptops, smartphones, and home appliances, AI Everywhere reflects the market’s clear direction toward a future deeply embedded with intelligent systems.

During a media session with Lenovo CTO Tolga Kurtoglu, discussions turned to consumer concerns over AI intruding into private life. Kurtoglu candidly acknowledged that a world without AI is increasingly unlikely, while emphasizing that Lenovo is committed to developing AI responsibly and ethically.

Lenovo confirmed that AI features will remain opt-in, giving users full control and consent before enabling them, in line with strict privacy and security regulations. Nevertheless, with AI being integrated into nearly every type of hardware, avoiding the technology entirely may become impractical for digital-era consumers.

Yang also dismissed concerns about an AI bubble, noting that demand for AI solutions is only just beginning. He projected that AI PCs could capture up to 70 percent of the global laptop market by 2028, even though many consumers have yet to fully embrace the technology. Lenovo believes that AI will inevitably become a fundamental infrastructure for all users in the near future.
