GRAVITY Unveils Global Playground 2026, Celebrates Ragnarok Online Success & Announces 4 New Games

GRAVITY has officially celebrated its 23-year journey in the online gaming industry with Ragnarok Online (RO), showcasing a remarkable 396% growth in sales over the past decade and revealing plans to launch four highly anticipated new games in 2026. The announcement took place at the Global Playground – Gravity Visionary 2026 event, held at the Sala Thai Ballroom, 5th Floor, Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, on December 12, 2025, featuring top artists 4EVE and ATLAS as official presenters.

Yoshinori Kitamura, Chairman of the Board, COO of Gravity, commented on GRAVITY’s vision, “Gravity has brought a lot of games in the Ragnarok series to players. Our goal is to become the number one entertainment company in the world. Celebrating Ragnarok Online’s Global Legacy

Four New Games to Watch in 2026

GRAVITY introduced four upcoming titles for the Ragnarok series, promising innovation while staying true to the franchise’s roots:

  • Ragnarok Abyss – A fully immersive Open World experience with adventure-action MMORPG gameplay, available on mobile and PC (cross-platform). Players can explore vast lands freely, with 4EVE and ATLAS as official brand ambassadors representing the new generation of players.
  • Ragnarok Midgard Senki – A modernized 2D version of classic RO with updated graphics and systems, offering both PVP and PVE gameplay. Features include pet capture, resource collection, and a completely player-driven economy with no cash shop, staying true to the franchise’s free-market philosophy.
  • Ragnarok The New World – Another Open World title featuring seamless 3D maps, real-time seasonal weather, and reduced grind gameplay. The game introduces the new “Gunslinger” class, offline farming rewards, and a variety of guild systems including GvG. Taiwan and SEA versions are scheduled for Q1 2026, with global release in Q2 2026.
  • Ragnarok Online 3 – Expanding the franchise into new territories with modernized 3D character models while preserving classic Q-version proportions. The game emphasizes free trading, a Season System for balanced progression, and large-scale Territory War battles for guilds, ensuring accessibility for both new and veteran players.

Interesting highlights of new games to be released next year

Ragnarok Abyss (by Eric Kim, Vice President of Taren Network) This game will offer a truly new open world experience, players will explore the vast world, face challenges, and enjoy adventures freely. It can be played on mobile and PC (cross-platform) under the slogan “Light Up the New Gen”, and the game also features a famous girl group like 4EVE and a hot boy band like ATLAS as presenters. It represents the new generation that will take players to enjoy this challenging land together.

Ragnarok: Midgard Senki (by developer Fengyin, Chief Operating Officer of GameAle) This game takes the classics of Ragnarok and modernizes it, retaining the 2D cuteness but adding new graphics and systems, giving old fans and new players a unique experience. Exciting gameplay modes (both new PVP and PVE) In the race path, players will have to compete for the MVP and be able to PK with other players at the same time.
