Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties Releases Cast Interview Video Featuring Iconic Voice Actors
SEGA has released a new promotional video for Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, this time focusing on the cast behind the characters. The video has been published on YouTube and features interviews with several prominent actors who bring the game’s intense drama to life.
The cast interview video offers behind the scenes insight into both the remake portion of Yakuza Kiwami 3 and the brand new Dark Ties storyline. The game is scheduled to launch on February 12, 2026, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Cast Members Featured in the Interview
The video includes appearances from several key performers in the Yakuza series. Among them is Takaya Kuroda, who returns once again as Kazuma Kiryu. Kuroda shares his thoughts on reprising the role and how Kiryu’s emotional journey evolves in this reimagined version.
Also featured is Shido Nakamura, who portrays Yoshitaka Mine, the central figure of the Dark Ties storyline. Nakamura discusses Mine’s dramatic transformation and the challenge of portraying a character whose motivations blur the line between ambition and obsession.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is built around the concept of legends being rewritten and history starting anew. The package combines a full remake of Yakuza 3, originally released in 2009, with Dark Ties, an entirely original story focused on Mine’s path from startup executive to hardened yakuza.
In Yakuza Kiwami 3, players follow Kiryu as he fights to protect the bonds he values most, with enhanced combat, expanded drama scenes, and richly recreated environments set in Okinawa and Tokyo. Dark Ties, on the other hand, offers a contrasting perspective, placing Mine at the center of a deeply personal and intense narrative.
Pre Order Bonus Reminder
SEGA has also reiterated details about the pre order bonus. Players who pre order the game will receive the Ichiban Kasuga Gang Member bonus, allowing Ichiban Kasuga to join the Bad Boy Dragon team based combat content in Yakuza Kiwami 3. The bonus applies to physical pre orders and digital pre orders completed before February 11, 2026.
