Goodbye! New World: Aeternum Pulled from Sale as Permanent Server Shutdown Confirmed

Existing Players Have One Final Year Before Servers Go Offline
Amazon Games has officially confirmed that New World: Aeternum will be permanently shut down in early 2027, bringing an end to the MMORPG’s turbulent journey. The announcement follows reports from late 2025 suggesting that Amazon’s gaming division was evaluating the future of the title after its large-scale rebranding and overhaul.
Unfortunately for fans, the decision has now been finalized. Support for New World: Aeternum will officially cease in early 2027, with no further content updates planned beyond scheduled in-game events.

Final Schedule and Service Details
From now until shutdown, the game will continue running World Boss events and rotating Bonus Weeks as part of its final service phase. These events will remain active until January 31, 2027, which marks the permanent closure of all servers.
New World: Aeternum has already been delisted from all platforms, meaning no new players can purchase or join the game. Only existing owners are able to access the servers during the remaining service period.
No Refunds for Premium Currency
Amazon expressed gratitude to the community for its continued support and stated that the development team is proud to have brought the world of Aeternum to life. The company hopes the remaining year will serve as a memorable farewell for longtime players.
However, Amazon also confirmed that unused premium currency such as Marks of Fortune will not be refunded. Players are advised to spend any remaining premium currency before July 20, after which it will no longer be usable.
