United Kingdom – September 16 , 2025 – Ubisoft releases the Assassin’s Creed® Shadows expansion. Available today on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation®5, macOS® on the Epic Games Store, Steam and Ubisoft Store on Windows PC and Amazon Luna, all players who previously pre-pre-ordered the full game will receive it for free, or it can be purchased separately for €25/USD.

Developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux**, Claws of Awaji offers over 10 hours of new content, along with new regions and storylines that expand the stories of Naoe and Yasuke. This expansion follows the events of the base game. Players must complete the main story before they can access this expansion.

The adventure begins when Naoe travels to Awachi to find the mysterious Shinobi together with Yasuke. She must face Sanzoku Ippa, a ruthless force that threatens the island. During a new trip Players will find vibrant cities and breathtaking marine scenery. At the same time, be careful, as ambushes and traps will be available throughout the island.

Claws of Awaji adds a lot of new content to Assassin’s Creed Shadows, including new skills. Weapon abilities, armor, and equipment for both Naoe and Yasuke, all of which can be carried over to the base game. These upgrades will give players an edge against Awaji’s most dangerous enemies, including new enemy types and challenging bosses in ways never before seen from the base installment.

When the game launches, all players will be able to unlock a new weapon for Naoe, the Bo Staff Stave, which can be obtained for free from the early missions. Designed for fluid combos and creative attacks, continuously attack multiple enemies simultaneously. In addition, Claws of Awaji players will have access to the legendary Bo Staff with unique engraved decals, which are unique to the island.

The Claws of Awaji expansion is the latest post-release support for the game. After the promotion of additional content for several months since the game was released.
