Apple launches iPhone 17e with A19 and improved modem in affordable tier

Apple has confirmed the iPhone 17e release, introducing a powerful upgrade in the entry lineup. The new model delivers stronger performance, larger base storage, and refined camera features at the same price tier.

A19 chip delivers faster performance

The iPhone 17e runs on Apple’s latest A19 chip built on a 3nm architecture. It handles everyday tasks smoothly. It also supports demanding games and heavy processing without lag.

Apple pairs the device with its in-house C1X modem. The new modem improves connectivity speed significantly compared to the previous generation. It also reduces power consumption, which helps extend battery life.

Double base storage at launch

Apple now starts the iPhone 17e at 256GB. This upgrade doubles the previous base capacity. Users can also choose a 512GB version for larger storage needs.

This change makes the device more practical for users who store photos, videos, and large apps.

Refined design and stronger durability

The iPhone 17e features aerospace-grade aluminum. It comes in black, white, and a new soft pink color.

The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display delivers vibrant colors and sharp contrast. Ceramic Shield 2 strengthens the screen and improves scratch resistance. The phone also carries an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

It records Dolby Vision 4K video at 60 fps. Spatial audio recording enhances playback when paired with compatible wireless earbuds.

Battery life and charging

The A19 chip improves energy efficiency. The C1X modem further reduces power use. Together, they provide reliable all-day battery performance.

The phone supports MagSafe wireless charging at up to 15W.

Satellite safety features

Apple continues to focus on safety. The iPhone 17e supports satellite-based emergency SOS and messaging in areas without signal.

It also includes crash detection. The system can contact emergency services automatically if it detects a severe accident.

Release date and pricing

Pre-orders begin on March 4. The official release date is March 11.

In Thailand, the 256GB model costs 22,900 THB. The 512GB version costs 30,900 THB.
