Forza Horizon 6 Officially Announced – Explore Japan in Open-World Racing
During an early-morning Xbox Developer Event, Playground Games officially announced the latest installment of the Forza Horizon series. This new entry features an expansive open-world map inspired by Japan, five times larger than previous games. It supports full cross-play online and complete offline modes. Let’s take a closer look.
About Forza Horizon 6
The latest Forza Horizon continues the series’ tradition of realistic open-world racing, now set in Japan. The game features over 550 fully licensed cars that players can unlock and drive. Locations in the game are inspired by iconic Japanese areas, including Akihabara, Mount Fuji, and high-risk corners throughout diverse biomes, each favoring different racing styles.
Players start at the Rookie level and progress through a variety of tournaments. If you encounter a race track while exploring, you can jump straight into competition. The game also includes a custom hub mode, allowing friends to visit or build structures across the map permanently.
Gameplay modes include:
- Long-distance races
- Lap-based competitions
- Battle Royale elimination modes
The progression system lets players collect stamps and track achievements, celebrating Japanese culture and racing challenges alike.
