Interesting Insights from the Survey

Long-running franchises still hold power
Only two entries in the list come from long-established franchises: Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury and THE FIRST SLAM DUNK, with the latter also being the only animated film in the ranking.

Newer titles dominate audience interest
Several anime released in 2023 ranked surprisingly high, including The Apothecary Diaries, Oshi no Ko, and The Dangers in My Heart. Their strong performance suggests that fresh storytelling and recent momentum play a major role in shaping modern anime popularity.

Wide genre diversity
Although action-driven shonen titles like Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen remain extremely popular, the list reflects a broad range of genres. Drama, romance, isekai, mecha, sports, slice of life, and action are all represented, highlighting how diverse Reiwa era anime has become.

This ranking serves as a valuable guide for both long-time anime fans and newcomers looking to explore the defining works of the Reiwa era. With trends still evolving, it will be interesting to see how future releases reshape this list in the years ahead.
