It’s an exciting end-of-year update for fans as Hytale officially returns under the ownership of Hypixel Studios after reacquiring it from Riot Games, with development continuing as planned. The studio previously confirmed a fast-tracked launch, and it now appears that players won’t have to wait long, as Early Access is set for the beginning of next year. Pre-orders will open on December 13, allowing fans to reserve their copy ahead of time.
Hytale’s Early Access is scheduled to begin on January 13, 2026, initially building upon the latest version of the game from four years ago, which had been paused to switch game engines. This ensures that the game stays true to its original vision while incorporating modern improvements. Core promised features such as mod support and private servers for online players will be available from day one. However, full cross-play functionality may be introduced later.
