Chaos Zero Nightmare Save Data Bug Hits Players

Chaos Zero Nightmare has landed in hot water after reports surfaced that players are losing saved game data within the PC version of the game, raising concerns across its global community. The issue, which first emerged on Reddit and forums, involves cards disappearing from decks, stats resetting, and epiphany values vanishing without warning.

One user reported that after completing a Chaos run the deck they entered did not match the save record, noting that some basic cards they removed reappeared while others simply vanished. Further investigation reveals the fault may stem from an unannounced save data cap that triggers when the player enters high-difficulty modes, causing the system to purge data without alerting the user. The development team confirmed they have received multiple bug reports, are investigating the root cause, and are working to restore save data for affected users.

As compensation, all players will receive in-game mail rewards including 1 500 crystals, 5 Tears of God for energy recovery, and 30 Rescue Anchors, available from 4 to 12 November. A special event named “Rei’s Gift” will also allow players to claim up to 10 additional Rescue Anchors for seven-day logins. For players in Southeast Asia the bug highlights how launch-week issues can rapidly affect engagement, especially in competitive or meta-driven titles where lost progress may strain retention. The developer must act swiftly to preserve trust and ensure that the game’s systems are reliable in the long term.

THIS IS our take

When a game that thrives on progression inadvertently strips away players’ save data it hits at the heart of what keeps them engaged. For SEA gamers who invest time and strategy into their decks this misstep cannot be ignored compensation is welcome, but fixing the root will matter even more.
